Maybe it happens to your child: sounds seem to bother him more than any other child, that he has a special sensitivity to noise and that he picks up sounds at a very low pitch. Perhaps it is what experts know as hearing sensitivity or hyperacusis, which is the exact term with which this pathology is known.
