When it comes to educating children they are not the same with each other; each one develops at its own pace and in a different way. For example, while some are good at sports, others are better at all those activities that have to do with the arts.

The differences that occur between children are related to the so-called "multiple intelligences" theory. This theory is proposed and developed by Howard Gardner ensuring that there is more than one way to learn.

Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences in children proposes that the activities that are proposed in class respect the capacities of each child. That is to sayIn education, each child evolves with their own needs, therefore they cannot be taught in the same way. It will be necessary to take into account the different intelligences to configure their education, since the capacities of children are not part of a single skill called intelligence, but these capacities depend on many intelligences that work in parallel and that are often ignored.

In this way, Howard Gardner rejects the idea that there is a single intelligence capable of being measured by examinations. Someone who scores low on one of these tests could be a misunderstood genius in other areas.

Each of the multiple intelligences in children that Gardner talks about is located in an area of ​​the brain. This explains that each child is better given some subjects than others or has a preference for some of them.

According to Gardner, seven intelligences were first configured, then they evolved to eight and today we can speak of eight and a half intelligences. All of them different and semi-independent. These are:

- Mathematical logician: Their ability to solve problems is very striking and is usually related to a type of non-verbal intelligence, that is, one can know the answer to a certain problem long before having verbalized it. This type of child is good at and has a preference for activities such as: solving mysteries or brain teasers, doing puzzles, doing logic exercises, counting or doing calculations, organizing information in tables, fixing computer questions, playing strategy games , make estimates, memorize numbers and statistics.

- Linguistics: This type of intelligence defines those people who are skilled and have preferences for activities such as: reading, chatting, telling jokes, writing stories, keeping diaries, writing poems, learning languages ​​and playing word games.

- Viso-spatial: This type of intelligence refers to the ability to solve spatial problems. They are people with skills such as: drawing, painting, scribbling, reading maps, looking at pictures or paintings, solving mazes, playing construction games.

- Musical. They are children with an innate ability to learn different sounds, which evolves into a great ability to sing and hum, listen to music, play instruments, compose songs, attend concerts, follow or mark rhythms.

- Body-kinesthetic: It is also innate, only that some are capable of developing it more in depth. They are those who are good at: dancing, acting, imitating gestures or expressions, playing sports, running, moving, jumping, etc.

- Intrapersonal: They are those who work autonomously, set goals and how to achieve them, know themselves better, understand their feelings, know their strengths and weaknesses.

- Interpersonal: Contrary to the previously discussed, the intrapersonal. Those who are good at: talking, teamwork, helping others, mediating conflicts, meeting new people.

- Naturalist: They are those who are good at it; go out to the countryside, go camping, go hiking, take care of animals, know details of nature, recycle, take care of the environment.

- Existential: It is considered as an average because research is beginning now and there is not enough evidence to show that it meets all the conditions for one more to be considered. They are those people who think about transcendental questions, know other religions and beliefs or ask questions about the universe.
